OK, through the course of the day I've heard a good deal more about him. And while I wouldn't have invited him to dinner parties or anything, I haven't yet seen how he's a bigot or, more to the point, anything that justifies dancing on his grave.

Is there something specific someone could point to other than political conservatism or the same coating of slime that surrounds any openly biased media source?

Google Shirley Sherrod. That's probably the most egregious thing he's done recently.

He was known for using blatant, intentional deception to smear non-conservatives.

I'm sure his family will miss him , but the world is definitely a better place without him. Media discourse will be ever so slightly better this year. He was a master at the art of misinformation, I don't see anyone filling his shoes anyone soon.
