I'm not sold. And I even watched the video.

The central call to action of the movement is to keep US special forces in the place.
Let me repeat, the "plan" is to give aid to the bad guys in order to capture the really bad guy.

Actually doing something that improves the lives of people there with the greatest effectiveness is a much more complicated thing. Everyone knows this. In order to accomplish that, we should give them direct food aid, no bring economic development to them, no give them $100 computers to empower them, no, attack their government corruption so they can build their own economy.

I hate to say it, but suffering is going to happen, and focusing on that suffering isn't necessarily the right way to go. Charter Cities, where we bring development and a stable rule of law to the land, could create a "suction" that will, in time, address the suffering too. Do you start from the bottom or do you start from the top?

It's not obvious.

But posters and trinkets? Maybe.
