Here is the email I got on Friday evening from the school district about the murder at Scroggs:

Quote :
"Situation at Scroggs

There was a serious situation that took place on the campus of Mary Scroggs Elementary this afternoon.   At approximately 2:00 p.m. gunshots were heard outside, in front of our school and the school immediately went into a lockdown in order to ensure the safety of all students and staff.   The police were contacted and responded immediately.   The suspect left the scene and was very quickly apprehended by the police.  Central office administration also was alerted and came to the campus to provide additional support.

This was a situation between two adults and no children were involved.  Central office staff has organized a support team to come to school on Monday morning and all day Tuesday to help any child or adult process this situation. "

It is not a bad email but I love how they gloss over that a murder took place on campus. There was nothing they could do, and I think they handled it as best as can be expected, but let's not mention the words shooting, murder, etc.
