any car from the 80s or early 90s (ie, 20+ years old) is gonna have plenty of maintenance required

This is the car. I'd be fine with this one but am wondering if there exists a diesel convertible.

vevo has the best quality so thats the price you pay for quality over falsely labeled videos, album covers, lyrics and remixes by a white kid in fort worth.

The Merc in that video is a W123 E-class. Built like tanks, and plenty of them are diesel, but there was not a convertible. As to the SLK Kompressor, a friend's mom has one of those. Fun little car, but the ride is much stiffer than you might expect from a Mercedes. Engine and drivetrain are solid but it's had some electrical/acessory gremlins along the way.
