I am registered independent and they made me choose a side today. I definitely would go with democrat for the stereotypical civil liberties mindset but I do have to say I did feel a little weird choosing a side.

You should have had 4 ballot choices, Republican, Democrat, Independent, and Unaffiliated (unless maybe this varies by county?)

actually I think they said I was unaffiliated. Hmmm....maybe that is what I am registered as. I need to look at my VRC.

my ballot jammed the only machine at my polling place and they had to open up the machine and pull out my ripped up ballot. whoops sorry guys

Jesus, I live in the middle of nowhere, at least a good half an hour from anything even remotely resembling civilization and there were still 6 voting machines in my polling place.

yeah it's weird that was the only machine. i thought that was surprising. it's a rural, small town area...but still found it surprising.

Put it on an apartment door to remember that unless you used to own land, you couldn't vote.

Put it on your penis to remind yourself that women getting the vote still isn't 100 years old yet.

Crumple it up and throw it on the ground at any African American you see to remind yourself of slavery and Jim Crow.

Arbitrarily slap anyone who looks or sounds "foreign" and remind yourself that even legal aliens in our state can't vote in municipal elections.

Etc.

Goddammit take the sticker, say thank you, and throw it in the trash later.
