Just had my best round...a nice, full life.

Indian woman, musical ability of 91 at birth. Moved to New Delhi at age 10 due to civil war. Had a few siblings, parents rejected a few boyfriends in my 20s and I got depressed. Married at 29, had 4 kids, one started smoking young and died of cancer at 19. The others lived on to have several kids of their own.

Husband died at 64 from a fall. I was a musician my entire life, invested well and went into retirement around 65 for a year but came back out of retirement to play more music. Went blind at 84 and died at 89 due to old age. Many, many cases of food poisoning were had over the years

ended up being a good playthrough though...smart talented female musician from Thailand majors in Music in college and grad school, works as a doctor roughly 50 years, aside from some jail stints from speaking out on civil rights problems...dies of an infection at the ripe age of 86

i mean there is a 'Real Lives 2007' where all these screenshots are from

and a wonkier less-compatible 'Real Lives 2010' that has a lot of issues running on certain versions of Windows

which one are you having the issues installing/running?

i just downloaded the torrent from the OP, installed it and ran it...used the code from the included TXT file to register it as a full game, though thats not even necessary if you're happy doing the random lives

hmmm, it didnt give me an option to run from installation just the whole right click->gadget thing and I can't find it in program files

maybe I'll try downloading again and pay more attention this time

I just unpacked the .RAR file using WinACE (or WinRAR can't remember) and it included 2 files, Lives.exe which is the installation package, and serial.txt

Had an odd issue (wonkiness?) the other day. Moved a moderately prosperous family from Turkey to Saudi Arabia, and my currency converted to tens of millions of rials. Not bad for a salesperson married to a salesperson. I initially thought it was just a good exchange rate, but no, I could retire immediately and comfortably max out all of my expenditures...

...except for charity. The lowest rating for charity was in the neighborhood of fifteen million rials a month. So donating anything would have bankrupted me inside of a year -- again, in spite of the fact that living in a palace, eating like a king, and buying diamond-studded Gucci toilet paper was barely making a dent in my savings.

So I said "Whatever, fuck the poor," watched my conscience plummet, and died rich and happy as hell.

Dad kills himself as soon as I'm born.

Mom dies of breast cancer when I'm 10.

I have a bunch of brothers and sisters but for some reason none of them take me in so I'm forced to become a factory worker at 11 and also inherit all of my parents' debt to the tune of 500,000 dinar.

Chuckled when robbers break into my shanty and can't steal anything because I have nothing.

Born in China, only child, father died at age 31 when I was 6 from starvation, the same year I started school

Removed from school at age 7 to help around the house...mom dies that year at age 35 from starvation

at age 8 I have to apply for public assistance

age 9 i have to either get a job, reduce expenses, or take out a loan...too young to work...reduce expenses to starving and homeless, still can't afford to live...all loans are denied, even a loan of 1 yuan...basically i have to start over...what a terrible life

I just had some straight "A Walk to Remember" shit happen in my life.

Born in India (Guju, holla), get my first boyfriend at 15. Next year, he dies of leukemia out of the blue. Like, wtf, thanks for the heads Harun.
