Driving in Bucharest (and to a lesser extent Romania as a whole) was exactly like GTA. Complete disregard for any kind of traffic law or common sense. Didn't see the road rage stuff, but there was a never ending plethora of dangerous things going on all around your car. Drunken gypsies in the streets, wild packs of mangy dogs, potholes large enough to swallow cars, no staying in lanes, people with axes approaching your vehicle, carts pulled by donkeys/oxen, motorbikes all about, non-stop horns blaring, people running after you screaming "POLITCIA! POLITCIA!" cause you parked in the wrong spot where there were no signs saying otherwise, and absolute crazy overtaking that you could only imagine in a video game. None of this is an exaggeration. Make sure you take out the additional insurance when renting a car there because mine was damn near totaled after eleven days.
