i once made a Bojangles run with a couple other people in my high school automotive technology class, getting food for the class (cool class, i know)...we smoked a joint on the way, and handed the roach, upon their willing acceptance, to the morning drive through folks

i'd imagine Chick-fil-A employees would call the cops!

so if starbucks employs someone who is neutral to the gay issue (in pro-gay circles that means you are intolerant to gays) does that mean the enitre starbucks franchise is anti gay?

this makes no sense, its madness...where theres smoke theres fire? so I can say because you are as pro-gay as you are youd have no problem sucking dick? And then the next day I find out you thought a woman was hot and that means youre straight again?

^ i'm talking about corporate culture and hiring practices, not any random employees beliefs.

If a CEO says something, you don't think his beliefs may have affected his company...?

What's madness is pretending a person's thoughts don't affect their actions. This is self-evident, yet you are calling it madness.

I like Chick-fil-a because they hide the Mexicans in the back and put cute high school girls in the front.

If they don't... Some of the guy employees at the one downtown sure missed a good shot at being gay.

I know the manager and I'm going to have them fired. I do not feel comfortable with them serving me. I go in there to get the Christian service not to eat chicken nuggets.

It's my personal way to get "churched" on any day of the week

How is it a hoax? Did the NYU location shut down for good?

In my experience you can take any random Chick Fil-A store, anywhere, and it will be run better than any other fast food chain franchise you have ever been to. They have the friendliest staff as well, and in my opinion the tastiest chicken.

The CEO could be a self proclaimed Nazi and I would still eat there.

So for those of you who don't eat at chic-fil-a because the owner donates to anti gay marriage groups.

Do you also refuse to watch: Simpsons, Family guy, 24, House, Arrested Development, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, Louie, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The X-Men movies, Avatar, American Idol, The Shield, and Justified because Rupert Murdoch is a conservative bastard who spies on people?

i know for a fact they do...

every single person who worked at the Wilson Mall Chic-fil-a was a raging homosexual of some sort...

all the dudes were flaming and all the girls were hard core lesbians...

it was like this for YEARS...not so sure about the current location since I don't live there anymore...

I just remember wondering in high school if Chic-fil-a was the place all the gay people were supposed to work...well...there and the Arby's by Wal-mart

pplz in the US have a right to an opnion

having an opinion and owning a business don't overlap imho. this product doesn't sell ideas, they sell chicken, so supporting their chicken business does not impact the national opinion on gays

tl;dr i don't give 2 shits what the CEO says

c'mon, let's not resort to hyperbole. I'm sure not ALL of the girls were hard core lesbians. At least one of them must have been a soft core lesbian.

I prefer to not give my money to people who give their money to causes i don't support, if I can help it.

Although I must admit, I did go to the new location last weekend. I was near Cameron Village and I wanted to see the new place. And it's pretty good fast food. It was the first time I'd been to one in probably a year, and I won't go to another for a while. I think Zaxby's is better.

Where did you get the idea that anyone was (or would) protest that an organization supports traditional marriage? In fact, can you even give me an example of an organization that doesn't support traditional marriage? Now, discriminating against gay couples on the other hand...

I'll continue to eat there, but i'll also feel free to talk shit about them about things I disagree with.

just like I do with other companies I'm a customer of.

I don't eat there not because of their bigoted stance and the spineless closeted drones that eat and work there. I don't eat there because their food sucks.

Life isn't a moral statement.

Believing in something doesn't mean altering your lifestyle to do business with those who believe the like. It means you truly believe it and that you'll speak out to other people about it.

I'm willing to bet that a gay person would get would get better service at a stand-alone CFA (not those on campuses or in malls b/c those aren't real CFAs), than he/she would at any other fast food restaurant.

Having worked at CFA in high school and on college breaks, I liked the culture of the place where the owner and his family were always there, and cared about me and my family. I earned a scholarship for working and going to school, they hired my brother at 15 just because he was related to me, sent food to a family wake, and wrote letters of recommendations for jobs. I worked at the busiest CFA in greensboro, but the owners still know me and my family, and I always felt that I worked at a small family restaurant rather than a corporate franchise. I know this is my experience, and while my politics are liberal (and I support LGBTQ equal rights), I'm comfortable with Cathy spending his money however he wants. But I will still eat there.

Besides, show me a large corporate franchise that doesn't support some cause, group, politician, legislation that harms the greater good of the population. It's corporate nature: fighting to keep minimum wage low, right to use illegal immigrants to not pay benefits, prevent same sex marriage, it's all the same.

It's fine that they are spending profits to support whatever, but it's absurd for Chick-fil-a to try and claim a moral high ground.

If they just said, we hate gay people, it's icky to us, it really creeps us out, we don't like these people and they shouldn't have the same rights. I'd at least respect them for being honest.

Now, they are being awful bigots and hiding behind the bible. I think they should invest their profits to support the biblical example of slavery. Just say we hate gay people, if gay people get married I won't be able to grind my fat wife because it will make my boner sad to think about people in love.

http://www.theonion.com/articles/chickfila-debuts-new-homophobic-sandwich,28888/

BAHAHAHA.

Quote :
"ATLANTA—As part of its recent efforts to publicly align itself with fundamentalist Christian values, the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain announced today the debut of its new Queer-Hatin' Cordon Bleu sandwich that would be on sale in all of the company's 1,600 restaurants this Wednesday.

In a press conference to reporters, company representatives said the homophobic new sandwich will include the national fast food chain’s trademark fried chicken filet wrapped in a piece of specially-smoked No Homo ham that would be topped with a slice of Swiss cheese and lathered in a creamy new Thousand Island-based Fag Punching sauce.

"The Queer-Hatin' Cordon Bleu is our company's way of showing our firm commitment to strong, Christian family values," said Chick-fil-A spokesman Robert Gary, before adding that the vehemently anti-gay rights sandwich comes served in a combo with waffle fries and a medium soda for just $6.95. "From the very first morsel of this savory meal to the very last bite, customers can envision gays burning in hell with their sodomizing cohorts, and know that our sandwich is on their side.”

"Of course, the young ones will want to finish their meals off right with a No Fudge Packin' Soft Serve Cone," Gary added. "I can't think of a better way to follow up a sandwich this good."

While the release of the Queer-Hatin’ Cordon Bleu has led to anger from pro-gay rights groups, loyal Chick-fil-A customers claim they are happy they can finally enjoy a sandwich that takes a firm stance on the issue of homosexuality.

"Any sandwich that combines that great Chick-fil-A flavor with a hefty dose of vitriolic homophobia is definitely going to keep me coming back for more," said Atlanta customer John Oaks. “Come Wednesday, I’m going to be first in line for this thing.”

According to sources, the Queer-Hatin’ Cordon Bleu is merely the first of Chick-fil-A’s new family values menu which is set to include the AIDS Is God’s Curse chicken nugget combo and the Fags Caused 9/11 strawberry fruit smoothie."
