More than any other reason, I would boycott the on-campus chick-fil-a because the one in the atrium is hands-down the worst I've ever been to. Quality control doesn't exist there. It's just thousands of hungry students every day, all coming in at roughly the same time, so they just pump out lumps of fried chicken on a bun. Quality has been better at 100% of the other CFAs I've been to.

That said, I haven't been around campus to eat there since two thousand dickety five.

I usually go to the Fayetteville St location. Atrium is the worst locatiin I have had, but I have never been impressed by a CFA biscuit at any location.

Everything on campus contributes to the image of the campus and university. By allowing Chicfila to operate there, NCSU is passively saying that they're ok with the company and thus the image of the company. The image of the company is that of religious bigotry. Simply by association, this makes NCSU at best look like it ignores bigotry for profit and at worst accepts it.

one time at the Atrium chick-fil-a i went in about 2 oclock or so, when it was pretty dead after the normal lunchtime rush...i ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and they didnt have any ready...so i waited like 5 minutes for the guy to cook me one...when i got outside and sat down at an atrium table and opened the box, dude had hooked up my sandwich with three grilled chicken patties...it was fucking huge and awesome

However, college is a place where most people learn to make their own decisions, right?

NCSU should let the students decide whether or not to patronize a restaurant. If the students want to support Chik-fil-a, then they should have the right to. If they dont, then Chick-fil-a will not make any profit and will likely close the location.

I agree with you. People can decide on an individual basis what businesses they will support. I use to grab Chick-fil-a a lot before studying at the library.
