100% false. If you don't know what you're talking about, how about not spreading lies and misinformation, kthx.

[no]
Sprint voice roams on Verizon towers which gives you some of the best rural coverage available. Their data coverage can be lacking though.

With 2GB I'd have to monitor my data usage. But still, a 2GB Verizon plan will run ~$20 more per month than an unlimited data plan from Sprint. If my company were paying for it I'd rather be on Verizon for the added data coverage, but as long as I'm picking up the bill Sprint seems like the better choice.

Their data coverage is lacking, even in Raleigh.

As far as voice goes, I went from Sprint to Verizon and noticed a big improvement in voice service (obviously not as much as data), so while they may occasionally roam on Verizon'e network, the voice network is still substandard imo.

Sprint does roam on VZW, but most of the PRLs will not switch over accordingly. If you force roam to VZW and pull 1.5-2mbit/sec in an area with even the most remote of dB for a sprint tower, you'll get stuck downloading at 60kbps.

^^^^You said AT&T was charging extra for video chat on "most new phones"

a) It's not most new phones, it's just the iPhone.
b) It's not all video chat programs, it's just FaceTime. You can still use 3rd party video chat programs over 3G, even on the iPhone
c) They are not charging extra for FaceTime. If you are on a FamilyShare plan, you can do FaceTime over 3G, if not, you can't. You saying they charge extra implies that you could add that as an option to your account, which you cannot do. All other phones, and all other video chat services are unaffected.

Like I said, there was absolutely nothing correct, or useful in the "information" you provided. So again I say, if you don't know what you're talking about, everyone would be better off if you said nothing.

first statement was separated from the second and left to be vague. I only said the first statement to preclude to the fact that video chat for phones is another new item that consumes bandwidth and yes. I did not say ALL phones would be charged. You are using logical fallacy to make your own conclusions from my two statements.

Thank you for playing and hope you stay very angry.

That's still roaming...

you have to be on a shared plan to use facetime over att's network, if you are not on a shared plan then you are shit out of luck... that's more money... am I wrong if you were not on a shared plan?

Well lets see, I've added more correct information to this thread than you and JBaz combined. Pointing out misinformation IS adding value, and if you can't see that you're as dumb as he is.

Haters gonna apparently.

The lady from the regulatory response unit called me back and left a message at 4:29 saying to call her back by 4:30. When I called back her phone was straight to VM.

What Sprint does not tell you is that you have to be completely out of range to switch over, if there is even a sliver of home service the phone will keep trying to go back and your experience will be shit. (voice or data)

There used to be an option on the devices to force them in to roam but they have phased that out, so if you live or travel to a fringe area have fun doing anything besides texting.

It was left open ended on purpose since the whole iphone, facetime and shared data plan changes have been all over the news this past week.

What mis-information? more like you used logical fallacy when reading, but your not completely to blame since my sentence structure was poorly written to allow logical fallacy to be inferred. I was under the impression that people would have gotten the reference to facetime with my 2nd statement, but I never said ALL phones would be charged for voice chat features... you just put those words in my mouth.

You can continue to be angry and what not. Who cares. You still didn't answer my question about shared plans...

This JBaz guy sure posts a lot... I hope he catches AIDS and dies a painful death.

Don't take that to mean that I hope you get AIDS and die very painfully. I left my sentence open ended which might cause you to create a logical fallacy and think I want you to die. But clearly I wasn't talking about the same person in the second half of my sentence since it's open ended and all.

this is why i switched from sprint to verizon. driving around rural SC i would have NO signal but texts were coming through just fine.

even at Myrtle beach, all I could do was text. verizon is 1000x better. IMO it is worth $20 more per month for the increase in voice and data quality

If my Sprint contract is completed in April 2013, is there a chance that they will let me upgrade early, like today? My phone has ll but crapped out on me. The screen is cracked really bad and the reception is so poor that I can even make a phone call.

^You may be able to upgrade early for a fee. Fee ranges from $50 - $125 based on how much contract you have left.

They would not let me upgrade early at the Sprint Store in Cary. Should I just go to another store. Does anyone here have a Sprint smartphone for sale?

I don't know if it is because I activated a new phone or what, but the 3G speeds I am getting are really SHITTY like 10-40kb download speed. I open Google Play and it will take so long to load that it TIMES OUT. On my other phone, while the data rate was not as bad as this, it seems a lot better. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

It just took me 12 mins to download SpeedTest app (3.04MB), and have not been able to maintain contact with a server long enough YET to test my speeds; so far 8 attempts have been made.

Just got through:

Ping - 851ms
Download - 93kbps
Upload - 78kbps

I swear to god if they don't fix this shit within a month I will forfeit my contract and move to a new carrier.
