That’s pretty shitty.
My 10th reunion is next year (yeah I’m younger than y’all old asses). I have no real interest in going. My best friends back then are still my best friends now...there’s not too many people I care about reconnecting with. The few people worth keeping in touch with, I have been fortunate enough to keep in touch with. I didn’t have a bad high school experience. I just have little desire to revisit it. I may still end up going because my soon to be wife (we went to HS together) wants to go.
The Facebook group page got started over a year ago (so 2 years before the 10th year) so there must be some people really looking forward to it. 9/25/2018 9:02:00 PM |

^pretty much that exactly for mine. I didn’t care to go, but my fiancée (now ex wife) wanted to, so we went. It was actually pretty fun except somehow I was under the impression that the $30/person we paid meant open bar when it actually only included food (it was at a brewery/restaurant). I got decently drunk and kept ordering drinks for everyone and was pretty damn shocked when I got hit with a $150 tab at the end. I did find it amusing that a bunch of people were complaining on the Facebook group that they couldn’t afford $30 even with 6 months notice.
[Edited on September 25, 2018 at 9:50 PM. Reason : Graduating class was around 200 and there were probably 25 at the reunion ] 9/25/2018 9:48:11 PM |

GrayFox33 and I just missed our 10 year... I missed it for Hopscotch. I didn't have a lot of interest for similar reasons expressed earlier. The people that left are not the people coming back -- which, no surprise, lines up pretty closely with who I'd be interested in seeing. I saw a few photos on Facebook and I barely recognized anyone, and it was a very small class. 9/26/2018 12:21:14 AM |

there's also like 500 people in graduating class...so even in high school at the time, there was a lotta people i didn't know. so a class that large, imo, makes it even less desirable to attend. 9/26/2018 5:50:50 AM |

Honestly that has been my experience with trying to plan anything over the past few years. In the world of "Maybe Attending", everyone can use your event as a backup in case nothing better comes along at that time. SO MANY people are flakes these days. If you don't want to come/can't make it just fucking say so, it won't hurt my damn feelings.9/26/2018 9:04:51 AM |

Needless to say, I did not plan the 15 year reunion last year. Someone else put something small together but it was the same weekend we host a Turkey Fry at our house which meant most of the HS friends we'd want to see were at our house 9/26/2018 9:23:05 AM |
