ha, i hope that doesn't hold true because I go to football games to socialize and release after a week of work. I go into the games, but I am definitely one of those assholes that leaves early if it isn't a good game and isn't holding my interest.

yeah i would say the tailgating event far outweighs the actual fun had at the game 90% of the time.

About once a season there will be a really exciting game but a lot of the time we are playing Liberty or Maryland or losing badly or we are already 1-2 in the conference and the game is meaningless.

Other than two seasons ago we've had a lot of really non competitive football teams since Rivers Sophomore year.

Football games can be quite the miserable experience honestly. You have to stand the whole time, its hot as hell, you're drunk and coming down.... you're surrounded by a lot of idiots yelling at the refs after every call whether correct or not...annoying cheers... the food sucks and is overpriced... and the college game is just way to freaking long with constant tv timeouts to boot.

On the other hand basketball games are exciting, quick enough so you dont get hungover, nice temperature, less annoying noise, etc. Plus college basketball is just way more interesting because your season isn't over after your 2nd loss. I can have fun at a college basketball game even if we aren't a great team that year.

No because you can not tailgate overnight anymore, camp, or have kegs, or cook a pig because you can only be out there 4 hours before a game and it takes all day to cook a pig.

I have a never forget, because I can't bring myself to go back. That cokehead asshole threatened myself and my friends and came back to shoot US. Our cars were roped in, and thankfully, we were not there when he came back.

All because we wouldn't give him a beer (with obvious ALE everywhere). Our group spent the first part freaking out, trying to figure out if any of us were harmed, then talking to the police, then getting our cars, and consoling our gf's. SHITTY FUCKING WEEKEND, and the end of my tailgating career.

Another group of alums/friends are trying to get me to come up to home games. I told them I'd gladly ride the train up, and take a car service to the game, as we do when I normally come up for events like the bourbon festival (it's not worth a DUI). However, they really want to tailgate. I'm on the fence. I could either be the DD or get shit faced depending on how my anxiety steers me.

I was there, there was only one person in the car, and he sped though the lot and almost hit several people. Then the 2 Marines came up to him and shook up a can, and opened it in his face, he then got out of the car and was taken at once to the ground. I remember asking some person standing there to hold my daughter's hand and went and got the guys to stop beating him. Told him to get in his car and drive away. Wasn't there when he came back with his brother and a gun in the name of self defense.

Knowning what I know now, I should have just let the guys keep beating him.
