I'm saying that he deserves much of the blame. In an ideal situation (no Stricker) he would have won 1.5 points. Still would have lost both on Friday. EU's best player won 3.
For the sake of full disclosure, I'll just go ahead and say that I absolutely hate Tiger. So of course I am biased. I do, however, acknowledge that he is the most talented golfer ever, and I enjoy watching him play when he plays well. I just hate that when I pull for him (Ryder Cup) he's not that dominate player that I expect. In a perfect world Tiger would play well in every tournament (because I love watching good golf) and always finish second (because I hate him).

Tiger played poorly Friday morning and the first 9 in the afternoon. Can't fault him for running up against Colesaerts. Hell, were it not for Tiger playing how he did in the second match it could've been 7&6. A lot of Americans shit the bed in this one, but I wouldn't put Tiger in that category.
Here's how I'd grade the US side:
A: D. Johnson, Bradley, Dufner, Z Johnson B: Mickleson, Watson, Kuchar, Simpson C: Woods, Snedeker F: Stricker, Furyk 10/1/2012 3:22:17 PM |
