i flew back to raleigh for that game. Russell was the man even though he didnt have a great game statistically and FSU had some NC State shit. I didnt get my voice back until a week later

we don't have linebackers anymore or lineman on defense so now we use dbs to help stop the run and our dbs can no longer handle deep routes. we used to just give up little stuff all day and i'd be pissed. now i miss those days.

^I was thinking the same thing as well (about a beast up front). Going back to Amato days (even MOC days, although my memory is hazy there) we've had some very good LBs. Levar Fisher, Dantonio Burnette, Tulloch, Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay, Nate Irving, Terrell Manning, Audie Cole, Pat Thomas, Oliver Hoyte...I'm sure I'm missing several more. We just don't have that this season.

D-line isn't our problem. We don't have any pass rushers like we've had the past few years. Audie, Manning, Willie Young, etc, etc...those guys could rush the passer. Who do we have this year? Art norman isn't big enough to handle it himself.

I was at that game and the Clemson game last year, and the Maryland game. Both of those were MUCH louder than the FSU game. In fact at the Clemson game I sat next to a Clemson grad who said it was louder than any Death Valley game he had been to.

Granted, we're not Clemson , FSU, or VT. But for a mediocre ACC program, I'd say Carter-Finley is pretty loud. We definitely don't have an SEC atmosphere or anything, but I think it's respectable.
