I keep seeing these snakes at the park when I take my dogs and I can't figure out if they're copperheads or not. I'm really afraid one will bite my dog cause my dogs have walked right over snakes before and not paid a damn bit of attention.

This snake I see though I think is more a peachy-flesh color than this guy.

Did you smell cucumbers after catching or provoking it? The couple of times we caught one it had a weird cucumber like smell coming from it.

one of the dogs my mom is fostering got bitten in the face by a copperhead the other day

my mom said her face swolt up and it looked like she had mumps.

I didn't have the heart to tell her that the only case of mumps people my age have seen was the family guy episode where meg got them from the guy at the star trek convention.

Dog's fine now.
