In my original post, I admitted that I didn't think my information was relevant to this discussion. But it is critical for people to know that we do still have slaves in this country. It's like step 1 of understanding how the world works.

Bridget, I'm talking gov't endorsed slavery of American citizens in the pre-American civil war sense. I thought you were smart enough to see that.

Human trafficking and modern slavery is a worldwide problem not a US only and the US has taken the lead to try to counter it. As I'm sure you know, this not endorsed or backed by the US gov't, is a criminal enterprise that preys on the desperation and ignore of its victims. It won't without awareness so you go on and keep making people aware.
