I think because it's so crazy and wtf it doesn't bother me as much as your run of the mill, "Here are complications that can arise during childbirth." Decapitation by doctor doesn't happen often enough to worry me.

It's ridiculous how bad some places still are at delivering babies.

An acquaintance of mine was given pitocin to successfully induce labor, but the nurse/equipment was new...so they just kept giving her more and more pitocin and ignoring her when she said she was already full on in labor. Her husband had to go track down a doctor and convince him to come deliver her baby, which was totally, definitely coming.

Unrelated to the pitocin, her baby came out extra blue and didn't start breathing for a looong time...so they took the baby away and came back in to grill her about her illicit drug use.

I know this story isn't anything like what the Missouri woman went through, but I wanted to share so I did.

The should be suing to remove the doctor's license and free medical bills, paid by the doctor.

My question is, why are they suing the MFM practice? And an abdomen too big doe a vaginal birth sounds like there was a serious fetal anomaly... Regardless, very sad :/
