as a Kentucky fan, i'm baised towards Brandon Knight, but i think him, Greg Monroe and Drummond are a nice nucleus. with Jerebko healthy, a competent coach in Lawrence Frank, and the chance that Tayshaun could semi-return to form, i could see the Pistons surprising a lot of people.
the Magic are gonna be terrible. their roster is the worst in the league. Big fucking Baby is gonna be the focal point of their offense. Orlando is likely a franchise that's in immediate tank mode, only focused on collecting ping balls for the lottery.

That Piston optimism definitely stems from Kentucky homerism. 10/30/2012 8:00:19 PM |

Those bets are solid gold, period.
I don't pretend to be the God of Wine. Just the NBA.
(should also mention i took denver to win the title for $20 at 40:1 odds. Team is just stacked and i love all of their knutesacs. If George Karl has a heart attack they'll rise to 20:1 instantly)

Can't really dominate harder than Lebron did tonight in only 29 minutes.
26 points on 16 FGA + 5 FTA, 10 reb, 9 ast, 2 stl, 0 to. He's pretty good.
Oh yeah Varejao's trade value is as high as ever after his 9 pt, 23 reb, 9 ast effort tonight.
Wizards need John "Another Brick'n" Wall back because AJ price is total garbage. 10/30/2012 10:39:42 PM |

The Magic are bad obviously, but they have several pretty good players like Ayon, Redick, Vucevic, Afflalo, and McRoberts.
If Jameer returns to form they should easily win 25 games.
Their struggles are going to come from the crappy guys in their rotation like Big Baby, Turkoglu, and Harrington. Just gotta hope those guys get hurt or benched a lot...

(i can't believe you're still singing the praises of McRoberts)

Kaman did make an all-star team
and he's one of the best (offensive) players on Dallas
Quote : | "what is wrong with the lakers?" |
Nash is handcuffed and totally wasted by this "Princeton-hybrid" offense, thus negating one of the biggest strengths on the team
their bench sucks
they have no outside shooting, which if present, would make a Nash/Howard pick and roll as lethal an offensive play that exists in the league
all that said, relax LA
it's one game; they'll figure it out; they still have first class tickets to the finals

unless Nowitzski has significantly regressed then he definitely still matters. the Diggler can create a good shot during any position. that's incredibly valuable, especially in close, late game situations. Crowder looked great. and he was a beast in the preseason so it's probably not an abberation.

face analysis is usually prett solid, but exxagerates way too much. You're right.
Kobe probably likes the idea of this princeton offense bullshit, because it means they aren't running pick and roles with nash/howard and Nash/Gasol. Even though that's what they absolutely should be doing. 10/31/2012 6:00:45 PM |

LA loses to Portland by 10 and the game was more lopsided than the score indicates. Nash hurt his ankle and left the game in the 3Q, which meant Chris Duhon saw minutes. he plaid so well he had Kobe pining for Smush Parker. Howard put up numbers, but the Lakers ran way too much of their offense through him. Nic Batum abused World Peace. Damon Lillard played like he's the second best rookie in the league. JJ Hickson put up a double-double and Meyers Leonard continues to look like a goofy fucker.
James Harden was incredible. if the Rockets had a reliable post scorer, they'd be really dangerous.
the Clippers went significant stretches with Jamal Crawford, Eric Bledose, and Wille Green on the court with each other. holy combo guard, batman. when Crawford is on, he plays like one of the best isolation players in the league.

Remember James harden was only good in OKC because the defense was distracted by how badly westbrooks shots would brick off the rim. He won't have that in Houston 11/1/2012 7:27:28 AM |

2 schools of thought...Do you want the best teams? Then three of Miami, Boston, Spurs, OKC, Clippers. But these are the teams on national TV the most, so you'll be mitigating some of the value of the package. Alternatively, you could go for pure entertainment value and pick teams like Houston, Denver, Golden State, or New Orleans. Also factor in your bedtime...if you're asleep by 11, the west coast teams are less of an option. For me, I'd go Denver, OKC, and Houston.
