So what's the best strategy for the eating? Crush them all into one glob? Dip them in water?

I squished them last year but it takes forever to chew them that way b/c it's so dense. I think I'll just eat them as fast as possible one at a time this round.

Last year I did two at a time. Then, I think I did the last four together. It worked out well.

Just signed up myself and my kid. I'm gonna take a bottle of lemon juice or something this year. I don't know if it'll help, I just know that last year the last thing I ever wanted to eat was doughnuts 11 and 12.

a single glazed yeast donut = 22g carbs

22g x 12 = 264g carbs

[Edited on January 2, 2013 at 12:24 PM. Reason : 200 calories a donut]

wow...that is more carbs than the recommended daily for a healthy human. ~235, right?

I have always wanted to do the challenge at least once but I was also afraid of going into a coma from all the carbs and barfing.

website is saying 22g is 7% of daily recommended value. But that means that 264g of carbs is only 84% of your recommended daily value, which seems awfully high.

But that may just be due to the fact that you'd get 2400 calories out of donuts.

But those daily values equate to ~315g of carbs recommended. HOW MANY CALORIES DO THEY THINK PEOPLE ARE EATING?!

OK, or there's this.

Come jog lake johnson with me today, and after that just do a couple of miles every other day. You may not put up a great time, but if you get your body used to the idea of running you won't hate the race nearly as much.

"The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has teamed up once again with the Krispy Kreme Challenge (K2C) once again. This year, we’re happy to bring you the 2013 K2C Costume Contest, presented by visitRaleigh.com. The contest is a friendly competition to raise awareness of the K2C and the cause it supports, the NC Children’s Hospital, and to celebrate those who dress up in creative costumes while running in this annual Raleigh event. Runner costumes will be judged on a variety of levels, and there will be two (2) winners chosen: 1. Single contestant division: only a single person may enter the contest as one entrant. The grand prize winner will receive a Nike+ FuelBand, which uses a sports-tested accelerometer to measure movement in NikeFuel, a universal metric of activity. Sync with the Nike+ FuelBand app and see your activity, stay motivated, and connect with friends. 2. Group contestant division: two or more persons may enter the contest as one entrant. The grand prize winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to the restaurant of your choice. The restaurant establishment must have a physical location in Wake County. Each categorical winner will be selected onsite immediate following the race and also sent a prize-winning notification via e-mail by 5:00 PM Eastern on February 11, 2013. See official rules for full details. Find out more information and pre-register at this link (http://www.visitraleigh.com/K2C). Race-day registration will also be available. See you on race day, -Team K2C"
