He was knowingly terrifying the innocent citizens of NY, telling them that places were under 3 feet of water that weren't, and the governor was was "trapped". He knew that CNN and TWC were re-tweeting his tweets as facts. Malicious trolling is bad.

Yes, that's partly what I'm saying. Of course, I'm not saying it's smart or that it would work.

But you don't get to spread rumors like that and then try to claim you're just a sociopath who was merely having some fun. In addition to possible financial gain, there is also some potential for political gain there. Anyway, market manipulation is very serious, and I hope the Sandy Twitter Troll will be taken seriously as a criminal...in spite of the fact that he's apparently an incompetent buffoon.
