No. Sorry but I don't see how the two are related. You can buy a small house, condo, townhouse, or rent an apartment and have comfort and privacy (we're not even going to talk security) and still do all these things you're talking about.

I think it's one of those things that you (not you in particular) like the idea of but actually living it would be miserable.

Exactly. When I lived in a tiny ass apartment, I spent most of my time not in that apartment. But it was good to have a safe, comfortable place take a shower and lay my head at the end of the day.

when i had my Jeep Cherokee throughout high school and college I had no problems spending a few nights in it now and then. Folding the backseat down and blowing up a small air mattress made it pretty comfortable. I drive a crew cab truck now, but the backseat is still too small to sleep comfortably through the night. an SUV is critical.

an suv is NOT critical. all u gotta do is get used to sleeping in a semi-inclined position. if you sleep flat all the time, you're just not used to it that's all.

many models of car have front seats that recline in such a way as to be quite comfortable to sleep in.

lastly: perhaps you should spend your discretionary income on services like motel rooms, maids, etc. instead of whatever other stupid shit the big corporations have induced you to spend on.

Living in Your Car: Still Just for Bums

The dividing line between man and bum is if your living space has a private functioning toilet. If you don't have that, you're a bum.

I have to sleep flat. My car can fold the back seat so I can lay into the trunk. Gotta watch out for the fumes, of course.
