^^Mormons believe that Jesus was the son of God and is their savior, but not part of a Holy Trinity of three different manifestations of God; meanwhile, Muslims believe that Jesus was an important historical prophet, second only to Muhammad, but that neither was a descendant of God or had any divinity at all.

Not only that, but Mormons believe that God was once a human, rather than the omnipotent creator whose existence transcends time. That's such a fundamental divergence from Christian beliefs, that they're simply not Christians. And while the most significant divergence, there are multitudes of others. As others have said, the divergence between various Christian denominations is mostly on points of order, procedure, and organization rather than fundamental beliefs. The divergence between Mormonism and Christianity is more analogous to the differences between Judaism and Islam... plenty of overlap, but fundamentally different beliefs.
