Walk around the Village, especially the area just south of Washington Square Park (and of course the park itself which may be the best public space in the city). That's definitely my favorite part of Manhattan. The Comedy Cellar is there, too, so I will agree with that recommendation, because it might be the best comedy club in the country. Always guaranteed a fun show and you never know who might show up to do a set.

The High Line is my go-to thing to take tourists to. Walk the entire length of it.

If you're willing to venture outside of Manhattan, Park Slope and Williamsburg in Brooklyn are fun places to just walk around and hang out. Prospect Park is also great and I know a lot of people who prefer it to Central Park.

If you're into museums the Met is pretty ridiculous.

Just walking around is probably my favorite thing to do in New York to be honest. There's so much to see.

Sheraton Times Square on 7th. Close to Central Park, close to Times Square without having to go full-retard to get to the hotel.

Why is MSG the location you are going off? Immediate objective upon arrival should be to get far away from that area.

I am going for the NC State game in the Jimmy V classic in Madison Sqaure Garden. Alumni event is at brother jimmys at 5 which connects to it. Before and after should include rockefeller, 9-11, central park, times square. and GO!

seriously if you don't go to MoMA then you wasted your trip. Even if you don't like art.

^the MOMA isn't for everyone. I personally hated it.

There's an awesome Biergarten at The Standard Grill, under the High Line. Definitely worth checking out. Doesn't matter if it's cold, they've got heaters (only time I went was December)

No b/c I look at random shit like a piece of rope hanging from the ceiling and don't view it as art.

Thanks why I don't like it.

to give you guys some enjoyment for the day. I went to NYC Tuesday. Perfect day and night and the WOLFPACK won on ESPN over the huskies. I was on Hannity on Fox News being asked about the fiscal cliff Wednesday night. WED I did more tourist stuff...Memorial, etc...well when it comes time to leave and take subway to Airtrain I ride the subway the wrong direction for about 3 stops. Then realize get off and get on the C train, when in fact I am supposed to be on the A train...that is followed up bc it is busy time, they made many many LOCAL stops. Got to the airport at 724, flight left at 720. Delta lady was going to make me pay 211 dollars but they put me on the first flight this morning back to rdu, so there I sit 430 in the morning at the OASIS lounge in terminal 4 at JFK. Let me just tell you, if you are ever there....45 bucks, you can stay in it all night. Free booze, free food, flat screens galore, wifi, leather seats. It is nicer than any lounge So that is what I did. As for NY. I made sure I had a hotdog at a corner stand, I went into the famous toy store, I went and saw Statue of Liberty from afar, went to the 9-11 Memorial Site, rode the subway, had NY pizza pie, walked all around times square, went to Madison Square Garden, Central Park. So much to do there, no wonder noone sleeps. Oh and I looked for gifts for the girlfriend...yikes TIFFANYS, etc...$$$$$$$$
