Ah so did they let you go in groups? How crazy was it? 12/8/2012 10:13:33 AM |

so i was at the front of the line, so it wasnt really that crazy to me at all. about 7am they let the line snake in through the building. I really like this since last year apparently at 7:50 lots of people showed up and got in line in the front with their friends.
they then let everyone in in groups of 10. I was in the 2nd group. got exactly the laptop I wanted (even if i didnt realize if it was french). Got a brand new $1200 laptop for $375 out the door. I cant complain about that. 12/8/2012 10:19:10 AM |

I so wish I wouldn't have seen the list Nighthawk posted, and instead saw the real one.
There were only two Y-series laptops. Yeah, I got there at 6:45 because I thought there were a lot more than that. No dice. Guy in the line next to me was an IBMer and showed me the shorter list, and saw that. I should've just left the line then and went back to bed.
Didn't get to the laptops and such until probably 10 or so.
No craziness - yes, I saw people with carts full of laptops. Very organized, very slow.
I think I made an impulse buy on a tablet, and got the wrong one. Oh well.
Tons of desktops and tablets still left at 10 when we ambled through. Still notebooks left, just none that I wanted. 12/8/2012 10:59:11 AM |

for the number of people and products that were moving around, it was all very civilized IMO.
I got the B series notebook that I was hoping for - they had over 200 of them so no issues there. also picked up a 16GB tablet and one of those 23" monitors
thanks nighthawk and nacstate for posting the lists!! 12/8/2012 12:23:42 PM |
