I got AOL because I stole my dad's credit card and used it for the free 9 hours, which eventually turned into free 20 hours. Once a free use was up, and I'd run it to the last two minutes or so, I'd cancel over the phone and then use another credit card from either my dad or mom.

Anyway, yeah, we used to download pictures on my 2400bps modem and it took so long that I usually had finished yanking my crank before a picture got down to the the girl's belly button. I had a friend who had a 14.4kbps modem and he started downloading avis and those blew our mind.

The first few pics we had were:

1) Jenny McCarthy
2) a file labeled teacher in which a woman painted "to all my friends on AOL" over her chest.


I stored them on my floppies as well. I'm really glad I didn't have access to what kids have now because I would have never left my room.
