I've never used another service, so I can't do a true comparison, but just in talking with different companies, I was much more impressed with FrontPoint; ADT seemed ok, but they were trying to back me into one solution and making it expensive to do other things, where as FrontPoint is all custom systems, so they don't care. Once I "built" my system with FrontPoint, it ended up being more expensive than what ADT was trying to push me into, so I called FrontPoint and they lobbed off another $200, on top of the $300 off for having a 3-year contract.
As far as using equipment with other systems, I don't know - I guess it depends on the wireless signals. 1/14/2013 8:42:58 AM
