Exactly. Basically the entire speech was focused on issues the vast majority of the country supports.

i think he took a drink of water so people would make jokes about that instead of how much he was contradicting himself during his speech

"GOVERNMENT BAD....now let me tell you how big government has helped me and every other person in my family"

"Obama praised the "57 States" that constituted the USA, he applauded the performance of the "Navy Corpse-men" for doing a great job, after a toast "To The Queen" at a formal state dinner he stood up and started to make a speech only to be boo'd by all in attendance for His appalling lack of decorum, and on His Apologize for America Tour He bowed deeply and often to foreign despots. The press just gave Him a pass. "That was just Obama being human" was the hue and cry from the collected sycophants in the press. Rubio needs a sip of water, a need shared by all people multiple times per day, and the pressed ripped him a new one. Can we all spell media bias?"

Rand Paul with the "Tea Party" rebuttal: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50140948n

I agree with some (not all) of what he said, but I think his words fall on deaf ears. I think his response was way more substantive than Rubio's and the delivery was also better. He's clearly positioning himself for 2016.

Definitely better than Marco Rubio's response, but lol at "... under President Obama, the ranks of America's poor have swelled..."

Out of curiosity, where does Rand Paul stand on record corporate profits and huge gains in the stock market since Barack Obama took office?

Yeah, let's listen to the guy who's bought and paid for by the worst corporations in the world.

Washington (CNN) -- Keeping up pressure on congressional Republicans after his State of the Union address, President Barack Obama launched three days of campaign-style speeches on Wednesday with a visit to a North Carolina manufacturing plant that he said epitomized his proposals for job creation."

Barack Obama, you mean?

It's not a zero sum game. Gains made by stock investors don't come directly out of poor peoples' pockets. Regular people (not just "the rich") are basically forced to invest money in stocks, 401ks, and other vehicles because the alternative is getting robbed via taxes and inflation.

We must not be on the same page, because that doesn't necessarily address the question I asked.

However, it's nice to know that taxes and inflation improve the stock market.

Oh, right. You're one of those that think anyone associated with "the tea party" is taking marching orders from Koch industries. That's referred to as an intellectual shortcut.

So it's just a weird coincidence that every single policy they offer up is exactly what these corporate thugs want? Organizations like ALEC have no power? Citizens United doesn't allow these people to do whatever they want with politics? Are you absolutely blind?
