I really am baffled by the disagreement here. She is attractive by the beauty standards as I have understood them since forever. Maybe you guys have different standards?

Maybe y'all should list the African American women that you find attractive. Half white doesn't count, and we need to get some that are 40+ years old. I think this exercise should help us solve the mystery of why Michelle Obama is so unattractive to you people.

^^^ You're treating it like a checklist or something. I don't really have a standards rubric There may be common threads between women I find attractive but they're not absolutes.

I don't find her ugly or anything, she's just "there" to me. I just don't look at her and think she's attractive. No more analysis needed. It's not strange to me that other people are attracted to her though, so I'm not sure why it's strange that some arent.

And if you start to pull in age and race for examples, you're doing comparative attractiveness which is not at all the same as whether someone is attracted to her.

People have described her as fugly, ugly, pug-faced, fat, a brute, a beast, having Down's syndrome, and much worse. I think it is very reasonable for me to wonder WTF that's about.

Also, you're right that I am talking about general beauty standards. I can't question who you guys want to do the nasty with--that's your own thing. But, from day one, there has been an army of people insisting that Michelle Obama is heinous, and it's just not true...unless wider noses/darker skin is ugly to you.

Here is why...most people around today that would even make those comments are not really old enough to have ever had a first lady worth making those comments about. Hell, most people our age haven't had a first lady that wasn't old enough to be our mom until now. Who was the last first lady young enough to make such comments about? Jackie Kennedy?

And if you were to compare Jackie to Michelle, there'd be no contest.

So as much as you want to hint around that its a race thing, it isn't.

Jackie wasn't a super model by any means, but compared to the other first ladies she was in the top. Maybe its because she was younger than a lot of the other ones. Should compare them all at the same age instead of when they were in the white house?
