The F104's incredibly short wings produced a very low Ixx moment of inertia (roll), which produced some strange side effects that the designers hadn't anticipated. More equations I haven't looked at in a decade:
V tail aircraft inherently have high effective dihedral at high angles of attack. This leads to really crappy roll or dutch roll behavior. The fix is to either put in high amounts of sweep or anhedral to counteract the high effective dihedral. There's no real reason to have both of them. Given the choice, you of course go with sweep, given its beneficial effects for transonic and supersonic flight.

So apparently Iran has posted some pictures of the 313 "in flight" over Mount Damavand. Here it is:

And a couple clicks found the original image they pulled of the fiberglass fighter:



It looks like all they did was Photoshop a canopy from an F-35 or F-22 on it and added a midget pilot in the cockpit. It still even has the stage lights illuminating it on the side and even though they photoshopped out the air intake covers and remove before flights tags, except they missed the one on the back of the plane.
