My business partner does actually, and that plus surplus repair and resale will likely be a large portion of our revenue. We will also work on Macs (which really nobody else in the area does that isn't required to use expensive parts directly from Apple), laser printers, monitors, televisions, and various other electronics. The goal is to be a one-stop place where not only the technically impaired but also fellow geeks can come for their electronics needs. For instance I'll happily sell in-stock replacement parts if you'd like to do your own work and don't want to wait a week to get it from eBay/etc. Or if you need some inexpensive ram or a hard drive.
Also we'll happily offer cash or store credit for used and/or broken electronics that you don't want to bother fixing. There's always a demand for cheap laptops/desktops for basic usage and they're horribly overpriced at most other shops.
Btw depending on how successful the business is I might need to hire extra employees, and here is the first place I'll look!3/7/2013 1:05:16 AM |

Reposted the thread in Chit Chat. It'll get flak, but whatever. Post the name suggestions there.
Also I'm changing it to whoever suggests the best name in the thread gets the store credit regardless of whether I use the name or not. So SOMEONE will get it even if the names all suck. 3/7/2013 1:31:51 AM |
