under no circumstances will there be a war with china over north korea, ESPECIALLY if NK makes some bonehead move like attacking the US

If NK did something to force the US to do something (like hit SK), then they could act like we were the bullies and try to get a China or Russia to throw their hat in the ring, and pretty soon, we've got a stand-off.

My question is this: Is the new NK leader trying to establish a legacy and become some sort of hero/martyr, or is he blowing smoke up people's asses?

i think there is a power struggle between him and his dad's top advisers and hes trying to show he can run the country and unite the leadership against a common enemy.

Hahaha, China does not give two shits about coming to help North Korea. They just don't want millions of refugees trying to cross the yellow river into China

^^yep. Young/inexperienced leader with people trying to overthrow him.

Bad scenarios if NK attacks SK or if the govt is overthrown and the US/China have to go in to secure their nukes

^ also think they want to keep a communist government in place on their border. Dont think theyd be stupid enough to fight against us over it...were a much bigger asset than NK will ever be to China

Honestly, if the north does something stupid like attack south korea or the us i probably see china taking care of them for us and setting up a new puppet state.
