Hey Bweez, what was the over/under on the Easter Bunny's drop off time this year? Did you win another teaser like you did last year with the drop off time/fake grass to chocolate weight ratio over under bet you did? Your statistical analysis based on past performance is stunning

WWE is about as real as anything sanctioned by the NCAA. Mark Emmert may as well be Vince McMahon.

yeah, thats the 10 year old thing... if all you need for a story is:

"oh yeah, Im gonna get you and ring yo neck"
"oh no, im gonna get YOU and ring YO neck"

"rawr!!! neither of expected me to be hiding under the mat with this folding chair!!"

"get back all of you! he has his magic wand out that turns everyone into zombies!"

"ohhh shit, lets from an impromptu tag team that NO ONE expected and get him!!"

Well tell me a good storyline WWE has had in the past year.

1) John Cena, ultimate good guy but a total prick and they just refuse to acknowledge it. The ending to Wrestlemania last night was literally the worst possible payoff.

2) Hey, The Shield, these guys seem tough and I wonder what they mean when they keep talking about justice and all that? Oh turns out they don't really have anything underlying that and now we have to mash up three main-eventers who aren't doing anything to give them a match.

3) Daniel Bryan and Kane seem to be having a lot of tension, I wonder what's going to happen! Oh, well now they're just friends. Okay.

4) Dolph Ziggler has had Money in the Bank for what, nine months? Just do something already.

THE LIST GOES ON

The Jack Swagger thing was the best storyline they've had in quite some time, but there was really nothing unpredictable about the way that all went down, and they structured the story in such a way that the only two guys that had heat were the managers.

It makes sense. Essentially you're trying to guess at what would draw more interest and ratings depending on who they decided will win.

I'd bet on the next former wrestler to die or go crazy and kill his whole family.

Much easier to predict.

just because they get hurt doesn't mean it's real.

but that video is correct - it is a TV show. A Soap Opera for men.

i wanna see some cats do some crazy shit that requires more athletic prowess than any of you fat motherfuckers can ever dream of having no matter how much crossfit and endless jogging you do.

so wrestling is dope to check into once in awhile, im too far removed to be invested in a storyline but the athletics are typically amazing, as well as the inadvertent real bump that gets taken and they continue on with ad libbing until they get back into the flow again

youre watching an unscripted dance where they have to build up to this predetermined outcome no matter what happens, and they have to direct what goes on in that ring on their own, with little help, and in an entertaining fashion while all the little nuances of the activity must not break character.

to me that shit is interesting and entertaining as hell. and then after busting ass for an hour you gotta snatch that mic and cut a monster promo talkin all kindsa shit without losin a breath.

but as far as gambling, i consider all forms of it low life so you jerk offswith your NCAA brackets, talkin about your spreads, and fantasy sports are in the same boat with guys who bet on pro wrestling so this thread really should not have been made

I bet on fishing shows.

"I got a good lead, Bill Dance is going to try a new spot! bet high!" Plus the drama, whew. Last week this upstart named Danny Fishman (how ironic is that, they say he is half fish, half man, and is controlled by a golden Shimano Reel wielded by a evil Merman) hit Bill over the head with a bouy and carried his wife off in his boat. I didnt know what was going to happen! Oh man, edge my pizza sauced stained seat let me tell you what.

Saps, good to have you back my man, life's hard inside them walls brother

The biggest problem with this year's card from a betting perspective was that all the matches were extremely predictable.

Jericho has a tour coming up and Fandango's not going to lose in his debut.

The Shield aren't going to lose to a thrown-together team.

Triple H isn't going to give up his career.

Del Rio has to keep the belt so Ziggler can cash in without turning face.

etc. etc.

Swagger getting a DUI the day after (night of?) Elimination Chamber was unpredictable.

Daniel Bryan has wrestled a bear. You know who else has wrestled a bear? Stu Hart. Gene LeBell. Arn Anderson. They've all wrestled bears.

Just because I like bumping this thread, the crowd tonight in Jersey was phenomenal. They hated everything the script tells them to love and vice versa.

They went absolutely ballistic when Dolph Ziggler, the pretty boy braggart heel, defeated an injured Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight belt.

They chanted for announcers, the referee, wrestlers who aren't employed by WWE any more, and themselves before they'd chant for either of the participants in the Orton/Sheamus match.

It was awesome.

No, but the crowd did sing and dance to Fandango's music before Fandango's match, during Fandango's match, after Fandango's match, during the match after Fandango's match, and during the match two matches after Fandango's match, the goddamn main event.

"Ex-wrestlers sue WWE over head injuries

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS | Published — Thursday 21 July 2016

HARTFORD, Connecticut: More than 50 former professional wrestlers sued World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., saying the company is responsible for repeated head trauma including concussions they suffered in the ring that led to long-term neurological damage.

Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Joseph “Road Warrior Animal” Laurinaitis and Paul “Mr. Wonderful” Orndorff are among the plaintiffs who filed the lawsuit recently in federal court in Connecticut. The lawsuit also names WWE chairman Vince McMahon as a defendant. Stamford-based WWE denies the allegations.

“WWE placed corporate gain over its wrestlers’ health, safety, and financial security, choosing to leave the plaintiffs severely injured and with no recourse to treat their damaged minds and bodies,” according to the lawsuit, which does not say how much money the former wrestlers are seeking.

The plaintiffs say they suffered concussions and other head trauma that resulted in long-term brain damage.

Last month, the 73-year-old Snuka was found mentally incompetent to stand trial in the 1983 death of his girlfriend near Allentown, Pennsylvania. His defense partly blames head trauma he suffered in the ring.

Unlike other sports including football and hockey where players have suffered similar injuries, WWE wrestling matches involve specific moves scripted and choreographed by the WWE — thus making the company directly responsible for wrestlers’ injuries, according to the lawsuit.

The National Football League and National Hockey League were also sued by former players who suffered concussions and other head injuries. The NFL settled for $1 billion, while the suit against the NHL is pending.

The WWE said in a statement that an attorney for the ex-wrestlers, Konstantine Kyros, has made similar claims against the company without success."

Really? What the fuck did they expect after being kicked in their heads and being dropped on their heads for years?

x 1,000,000
