of course it's not an invitation to get raped, but people need to be aware of their surroundings and not put themselves in high risk situations. don't make yourself an easy target. don't fucking walk alone across campus in the middle of the night. raleigh isn't some bumfuck little town, there are plenty of bad people there.

use the campus escort service. they provide it for a reason.
