I only applied to nc state. I wasn't going to pay $50+/application to apply to places I didn't want to go. 5/7/2013 12:12:37 AM

I applied to several schools and got into all of them except for the AF Academy. The AF Academy was my first choice but after about a month at state, I was so thankful I didn't get in.
I had a full ROTC scholarship so I applied to random places. I'm from KS so I guess my safety school was K-State since as long as you completed the recommended high school classes with a 2.5gpa you were automatically accepted.
But I wanted desperately to get out of that state so I applied (and was accepted) to University of Nebraska, Texas A&M, University of Oregon, University of Kentucky, and VMI (and State too of course).

now that i'm recalling those days, i didn't even apply to state until the very last minute. my parents wouldn't help me pay for clemson (out of state tuition) so i had resigned myself to going to app. at the last minute i thought a bigger school might be more fun so i applied to state. i guess i didn't really have a safety school because i'm not as smart as yall, so it's not like harvard was remotely an option. 5/7/2013 8:26:09 AM

I only applied to NC State. I knew by October of my Senior Year in HS that i got accepted, so there was no reason to apply anywhere else.
My parents wanted me to apply to Wake, and I definitely had the grades to get in. But it was way too close to home, plus I've been a Pack fan my whole life.

My original plan was to apply to NC State, was 100% sure I'd get in, but my back-up plan was UNCW if I didn't get in the Early Acceptance period.
I got in during the Early Acceptance period, so I threw away the UNCW application. My parents then decided that I needed to keep my options open in case I changed my mind, and they just happened to have the applications for UNC and Wake(the other 2 schools my brother applied before he went to State). Got into both, but knew I wanted to do something in engineering.
Though it was always great to tell UNC assholes that I turned down their school when they tried that shit of "you only went to State because you couldn't get into UNC." 5/7/2013 9:17:44 AM

I did not apply to UNC. My parents wanted me to but that application seemed too time consuming for a school I didn't want to attend. 5/7/2013 9:31:03 AM

I guess my safety school was Furman. NC State was my fifth choice, but the first one I could afford. I loved it, so it worked out. 5/7/2013 10:56:35 AM

College of Charleston and Clemson were the only other ones. Looking back, I wish I knew just how awesome Charleston was. I may have seriously considered it over NC State (at the time). I got my acceptance letter for CofC in less than two weeks. I guess their Business college gets ecstatic when you have a good high school transcript/extracurricular activities. Got into engineering at Clemson, but I knew I never wanted, or would never wear, Orange. 5/7/2013 12:19:29 PM
