So are KD, Carowinds, and BG pointless if roller coasters aren't your thing?
Haven't been to any in the last 20 years or so.

Kings Dominion and Carowinds probably are. Busch Gardens could still be good, though. I think a lot of people who don't like rides go there. It's been named world's most beautiful theme park over 20 years in a row or something. 5/28/2013 1:00:41 PM |

I like BG alot. Though, I should go back for the shows, etc. and not just the rides. Always get caught up in the rides. 5/28/2013 1:04:46 PM |

zsl, who is not talking about the Intimidator?
Quote : | "While KD and Caro both have the Intimidator, the one at Kings Dominion is bigger, higher, and faster.
On that first turn after the huge drop, I had hardcore tunnel vision, and serious mental disorientation, very close to blacking out. Senses had faded out so much I felt like I was watching myself first person on a tv set, and wasn't actually on the coaster anymore. I remember being very confused for what felt like some time but what was really just a few moments. (FWIW I was tensing my legs and abs, and breathing hard through that g-turn not to lose it)
The GF wasn't so lucky, as the ride ended I looked over and she was pale with her head back and mouth open, still OUT. She came back before we got off, but the blackout rumors were true.
Really just incredibly fast and the highest I've ever been on a coaster, but like has been said here, I read that they did put some braking on that first bit due to the complaints of the weak." |

I have been to BG Williamsburg, BG Tampa, KD, Carowinds, and Six Flags Over Georgia. I feel like I've been to one more, but I can't remember, and BG Williamsburg ranks #1 with me.
I wish I got the chance to ride Drachenfire as an adult - it was pretty brutal on my ears/head as a child.

I never got to ride Drachen Fire at all. I'm still pretty bitter about that.
I've been to around 70 or 80 parks (yeah, I know, I have a problem). I would loosely rank my favorites something like this:
1. Knoebels (Elysburg, PA) 2. Holiday World (Santa Claus, IN) 3. Busch Gardens (Williamsburg, VA) 4. Alton Towers (Staffordshire, England) 5. Kennywood (Pittsburgh, PA) 6. Europa Park (Rust, Germany) 7. Cedar Point (Sandusky, OH) 8. Indiana Beach (Monticello, IN) 9. Silver Dollar City (Branson, MO) 10. Dollywood (Pigeon Forge, TN)
So yeah, I think Busch Gardens is amazing. The Tampa one would probably be 11th if the list continued. 5/28/2013 4:01:10 PM |
