"Yeah, you're good then. You're in the same situation I'm in with TWC. All I have is their internet and my own modem, so they couldn't care less if I quit.....but they know I don't have any other options."

okay cool. I'm not worried about it now since I just got $34.99 for 12 months. I'll revisit my options next summer. Since we're looking to move, I'll probably just sign up at the new address with my wife's name or something.

"If you're getting basic minus a handful of those digital converter required channels, they more than likely just forgot to turn it off when you canceled."

Makes sense. I don't think they've forgotten because I do have a service appointment scheduled on my account for Tuesday so I'm expecting it to be gone soon. I was just confused over the tiers and a couple things I've read like mildew that said you got channels for free with just an internet subscription. My plan was always to cancel the cable and get an antenna for locals.

"As for the internet, what options do you have available? Are you still up north? My cousin works for Comcast up there and I can see what he can do."

Thanks for the advice Eric. As to where I'm living nah I'm back in NC. Raleigh. Most I can figure is my only other internet option is TWC. With AT&T DSL my speed is 6 Mbps down, 3Mbps up for $51.99. After browsing TWC's website last week I didn't see any packages offering 3Mbps upload until you step up to Extreme, which is like $54.99 I think.

Looking again now, on the main screen I think they flashed an internet offer of 10Mbps down (up not listed) for $34.99/mo. I say "I think" b/c that image disappeared and I can't find it. Also I can't "shop" on their website because they say they can't recognize my address My house is 13 months old, and I know some neighbors have TWC, wtf.
