Crossfire is my favorite game that I never actually got a chance to play.

The commercial was so incredible that it brainwashed me into thinking it was the best thing in the world, but really I have no idea how fun it actually was.

I never played it either, but that commercial was practically mesmerizing.

I played it. It was a stalemate 8/10 games.

You can't go wrong with Legos.

he actually loves legos, and has lately started getting into the star wars ones.

I could definitely add to his collection, but I thought it would be fun to get him something new/different

I'm still tossing around the idea of the spirograph, but the one posted earlier in the thread seemed like good quality but very small (< 7")

I love this thing as a kid

I also remember some machine where you melted wax and poured it into molds with wheels to create your own hot wheels.

and a tumbler that you put rocks and sand in and made smooth stones.

I agree with NBA JAM TE.

At some point, everyone has to learn that Shawn Kemp was awesome.

I ended up getting him the spirograph, some star wars lego thing, a 50-pack of glitter glue pens, and "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing".

aside from the star wars stuff (never seen it, not that interested, although I do like legos), those are all things I would personally loved to have received - and probably still would

I also got his little sister a pack of glitter unicorn temporary tattoos, so she has something to open on his bday too
