he didn't actually hurt anyone and the police took care of him pretty easily, which is why i doubt anyone in this thread would have acted any differently.

if the guy was previously sane, and made the sane personal choice to smoke some pcp or bath salts, he's got what he has coming to him...you don't get a free pass if you start attacking people just because the drugs you chose to take made you violent

i dont know what the hell this guy was on, would be curious to know what toxicology reports suggested

^^^The counterargument is that if you are rolling the dice with your own physical safety by intervening to stop someone from harming others, you don't really owe him a fair or proportionate response. He's the fucked up one who caused the problem.

that's true, but the phrase like "beat the fuck out of him" makes me assume you're going beyond stopping someone from harming others, into the territory of revenge/personal gratification

theres about two or three spots id have intervened...when he was going after women (which the security guard did in distracting him) and when he was up on the turnstiles he cant do anything to you effectively and you have surprise and gravity at your advantage

you people see a guy doing a flip or a handstand (and hes black or hispanic or whatever) and go "OMG THIS GUY WOULD PROBABLY KICK EVERYONES ASS"

give me a fuckin break, who is the last cheerleader or male gymnast that you looked at and thought could subdue you and harm you to any capacity? That little weak kick he threw at the security guard was all i needed to see...he either is not at alll capable of fighting or he wanted nothing to do with actually fighting anyone and wasnt prepared to do it...fuckers naked he aint got shit to fuck you up too bad with
