I've not had cake pops, but if they're the same thing as cake balls except on a stick, I have to disagree with this topic.

Almost every cake ball I've had has been super moist and super delicious. The first time I had one my reaction was, "Wow, and all my life I thought cake was just ok, this is awesome"

^^ They are. Cake balls can be a bit bigger as you don't have to worry about using a stick to support them.
