Yep, confirmed. You can take as many airplane bottles that will fit in a 1qt. ziplock bag. Good to know next time I have a long flight.

yeah, airplane bottles are fine. i always throw a few in with my toiletries.


speaking of people bringing food on planes, when i flew back from Omaha last month a large family next to me brought on a big box of Popeye's chicken. Worst flight ever.

i think i posted this in another thread, but a bunch of geology folks were flying back from oregon and me and another guy brought 12 packs of fat tire as our carry on item. (this was back around 2004 before fat tire was sold in NC)
None of the fat tire made it beyond the terminal because when you get geology folks around beer, it tends to disappear.

they let you carry as many small bottles of shampoo that you can fit in the ziplock bag too, doesn't mean they expect you to use it during the flight though.

And it seems that the loophole is that if you can get your flight attendant to pour it for you then it's legal. Good luck getting a flight attendant to do that for you, though.

i have never once had an attendant say anything to me. and i've visibly thrown out 4-5 bottles in front of them when they come by.

Yeah, I'm sure it depends on the airline and the crew. I've had some really bitchy flight attendants. I had one that made me spit out my dip on a flight from Charlotte to Greensboro.

It was a connecting flight through Charlotte, and it worked out cheaper than driving to Charlotte and paying 7 days of parking fees.

I've flown out of the country several times in the last few years and always get a big bottle of rum and gin at the duty free shop on the way back. Always pretty comical to watch the fiancee and I pour our gin and tonics and rum and gingers on our pull out trays with large handles of liquor.

And back to the topic, I don't see why there would ever be a reason to bring your own beer to a bar. I'm sure there are plenty of bars in Raleigh that do $1-$1.50 PBR, and that shit is WAY better than Natty Light.

I always drank my carry on booze in the terminal shortly before boarding. No idea if it's permitted there, but I'd be discrete about it either way.

drinking airplane bottles in the terminal is just fine, only issue is if you're stumbling on to the plane.

When Captain Tom Payne presented him with a "yellow card" warning him to behave or face arrest, he tore it up.
Witnesses also described Buck attempting to play a CD on a hostess trolley and trying to sit next to a woman passenger who he insisted was his wife.

As cabin services director Mario Agius and stewardess Holly Ward rushed to her aid, he allegedly "splattered" them with yoghurt before grabbing the first by his tie and then bruising his colleague's arm when she tried to intervene.

Minutes later, it was claimed, after upending another trolley and sending crockery, cutlery and food worth £174 cascading across the floor, he tried to slip a butter knife up his sleeve while helping clear up the mess.

Then, when warned again to behave, he allegedly declared: "I am REM and I can make up a story that I was assaulted."
