3/4 and I have a great-grandmother who is still alive at 102. However, she doesn't even recognize her own son at this point.

On my mother's side her father did from emphysema way before I was born and her mother died when I was in the 8th grade.

On my father's side, his father died from a stroke a couple of days before Christmas 1984 and his mother, who I'm named after, died in 2006 after her heart gave out at the age of 95. I miss my grandma so much, she was a huge part of my life growing up and practically raised me.

tl;dr 0

I never met my mother's father, he died shortly after my parents got married. My father's father died when I was one or two, so there are a few pictures of us together, but that's it. My mother's mother died of MS/several infections and a weak immune system the summer after my freshman year of college, I hadn't gotten to see her since... at least 5, maybe 8 years prior

Just 1 for me - my grandmother on my mom's side. I've lost 2 grandparents within the past year, 1 of those being a couple weeks ago. I'm 29.

Mine were relatively older though... 82, 95, 84.

The one grandmother left is 84 now - currently in good health but I'm worried my grandfather's recent passing will bring her down a lot.

On an interesting side note, my Mom was the youngest of 4 and my Dad was the oldest of 4. My Dad's Mom was the same age as my Uncle (Mom's brother, still alive). My Mom also had a brother that died in a POW camp in the Korean War.

I was thinking about this the other day: If this was a message board not geared toward people that have completed (or at least started) higher education, the number of posters with 4 grandparents alive would probably be much higher. People born to teen parents are less likely to even finish high school, so I'm guessing the parental age of t-dubbers is skewed higher, resulting in older parents and older grandparents.

Just one, mom's mom.

1988 - Grandpa dad's side
2006 - Grandma dad's side
2010 - Grandpa mom's side (and step grandpa on mom's side as well)

Living grandma is 68. She had my mom when she was 17. My parents and my in-laws are all between 50-53. I'm 30
