None of those people paid their way in. Kesha's persona and style is obviously created but she put in her work as a struggling musician for 4 years, gave someone a demo and they liked it. She didn't just pay them. Katy perry also worked her way up through the music industry. I'm pretty sure she's from nashville and started out singing country music, moved to LA and worked on production for a few years. I don't know shit about britney spears so I can't comment on her.

I'm not saying that its not about looks, I get that. Its pretty crass but whatever. It is annoying that talentless fucks can just pay to skip around and put no work into something that they think is important. How would you like it if people who did shitty work and were uneducated just paid to be your coworker?
