^^ All that I can think a about when I see that is if there is anything that this horrible tragedy can teach us, it's that a male model's life is a precious, precious commodity. Just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features, it doesn't mean that we too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident.

I really can't believe he's dead

Anyone else drawing comparisons between him and James Dean?

Fire =/ explosion. And given the wreckage of the car it's safe to assume they were going over 100 mph when the crash occurred. Crashing at that speed catching on fire is the least of your concerns.

it's sad when anyone dies dumbass, but since we don't know much about who he is we are supposed to mention him somehow??

I mean do we make an RIP thread everytime someone around the world starves to death or dies some terrible way? no, we make often silly RIP threads about famous people because we know something about them and now they are dead

Paul Walker was a shitty actor. Or one dimensional if you're trying to be nice. That being said, he seemed like a really nice dude and I enjoyed the majority of his movies. I think my favorite might have been the one with that russian kid who witnessed a murder.

I think its pretty sad that he died.

-both actors
-both made movies appealing to youth
-both were sex symbols
-both died in Porsche convertibles
-both died in car accidents that were the fault of someone else.

yeah, that's it.

pretty sure James Dean was driving like 90mph when he wrecked.

he was also found at fault for the accident.

how fast do you think you have to go to annihilate a Carrera GT? If they weren't travelling at least 90mph, they were close to it.

I didn't realize that the Carrera GT is notoriously difficult to drive, even by supercar standards.

I was also unaware that Paul Walker was such a big humanitarian, and has donated over $2.5 million to disaster relief charities.

^any high horsepower car is difficult to drive if you turn the traction control and your brain off

traction control doesn't help much in snap-oversteer situations

most mid engine cars suffer from this trait, especially the carrera gt

lulz at the James Dean comparison...I don't know how I missed that earlier. One guy died in his early 20s right as he was getting huge notoriety and looked like he was going to be one of the best actors of his generation. The other died at 40 after a couple decades of popcorn flicks.

Car crash and acting are the only similarities.

I wasn't talking about that at all. I was only addressing the prior post that James Dean's vehicular death was someone else's fault. I think it's pretty clear speed was a factor in Walker's death.
