We are consistently more active and aware on defense than we have been in years. Hope that's still true when we get to conference play.

Dez Lee in particular has been really impressive on D. Didn't realize until midway through that the guy he was guarding most of the game was their leading scorer, averaging ~15 a game. I think he ended up with 4 points but even those were all from the line.

Freeman and Vandenberg also contributed a lot that didn't necessarily show up on the stat sheet. Real happy that Freeman ended up with a double double after all that hard work. The more I see of him, the more I agree with the Howell comparisons that were made... hope he doesn't wait around until his junior year to get ripped like Rich.

Wow... I was at the game and still don't know how Lewis ended up with 7 assists in 16 minutes.

Nor did I realize Northwestern only made 13 shots the entire game (and almost half of those were 3s).
