There is also only one teeny little packet of it for a ginormous tub of miso. So to use it as a seasoning, you would have to make like ... 40 gallons of soup or something.

Her verdict was "It doesn't taste like anything. It's like coffee grinds that don't taste like coffee."

Still alive?

Did you die from the Japanese powder or from alcohol poisoning?

Did you lez out first?

All of these questions are relevant to my interests, but feel free to answer in any order.

I'm still alive! The powder was very gritty. I did a very scientific experiment and mixed some of the powder with water with my finger. It didn't seem to dissolve. A small taste determined that the substance had no distinct flavor.

If by "lez out" you mean "Skwinkle making my passed-out ass get into bed halfway through watching Eurotrip" then yes... we lezed out.

Dried seaweed sounds logical, but it looks like ^.

What would the purpose of charcoal in a foil wrapper be, though? I would think foil is generally non-permeable enough to make it useless as a container for a desiccant or odor remover. Moreover, who puts charcoal in a little bag in a food container?

The Chinese, of course, in case you have to heat up the food on top of some mountain in a remote village in china.

its obviously dried seaweed or some other seasoning, the reason it says don't eat is because you are supposed to add it to your soup and not open the packet and eat it by itself.

there we go!!

Also, wtf, isn't this the internet? I find it hard to believe we don't have anyone here who speaks/reads Japanese well enough to translate this? Where are all you basement-dwelling anime enthusiasts?
