I like how in that entire op ed if doesn't mention what the bill is or describe anything but the vaguest idea of what he interprets the bill to say. Most of the op ed is blatant idiocy, the remaining is primarily dramatic outrage, and maybe a tiny portion of it is reasonable concern. Put it on Fox News, and only the dumbest of the dumb will find any credibility in it.

It should be easy to realize that 1) this law is likely not applicable in the vast majority of spaces, only a few schools will have students taking advantage of it 2) boys creeping in the girls room and vice versa are still going to get in trouble 3) the people who identify as a gender atypical for their biology already dress and look like they're chosen gender, and it may be the case others don't know they are transgendered, so using a bathroom of the opposite sex wouldn't raise any eyebrows, these people are trying to stay as low key as possible 4) saying that people with these issues are just nuts or it's all "chemicals" is ignorant, if you've never looked into it, or just stupidity if you've looked into it and just don't believe the science 5) even if you insist on your stupidity, making a female who dresses, looks, talks, and acts like a male walk into the female bathroom, and sit in all female classes is not going to help "cure" them of their mental health issues, it will only make things worse.

But it's a non-issue because there aren't enough boys who would want to play on girls' teams to really make a difference. The only way it gets out of hand is if coaches aggressively recruit boys for their lady teams.

Otherwise, a whole bunch of dudes aren't going to up and say, "I'm not good enough to start on varsity so I think I'll go whoop up on a bunch of girls."

I don't think it will happen in large enough numbers to actually matter.

I mean, I love the ladies, but I don't think it would be very satisfying to dunk on a girl who just started playing basketball a year ago cause she turned out kinda tall. Or like slide tackling a girl whose mom makes her play so she can build confidence and learn about teamwork. That's embarrassing.

It's not appropriate to mix all sports, but it's not appropriate to segregate all sports either.

The worse story is the supposed 6 yr old featured in Rolling Stone that has claimed to be a girl (physically a male) since they were 3. Of course RS tried to slant the story in favor of the family but seriously does a fucking toddler really understand sexual identity. From the story the kid has 3 older sisters. Give me a fuck break. The parents need to step up and lay down the law. If at 16 the she-male still wants to dress and act like a woman then that is a different case...
