What if Rack Room has been lying low all these years in order to reemerge to test the morals of unsuspecting gift-card recipients? They're just waiting to see what you will do. Maybe if you return them, they'll show up at your door with $1 million or something.

OMG please don't do that, some poor minimum wager trying their best to keep the shoe department sorted will spend hours trying to get them correctly matched up.

For anyone who cares, I went back to Rack Room today and went with.......... Option A. I did the right thing

The mid 20s guy behind the counter couldn't believe I was returning the shoes. While I was telling him the story about the extra pair of shoes he was already looking at the receipt like I was making a return, so there's no doubt in my mind that I could've got a new pair of shoes out of him, but alas, hopefully the karma gods will be smiling down on me now. I'm up for a promotion at work, so maybe this will help me land it.

Anyways, I feel good about what I did, but I probably would feel equally as good if I had a second new pair of shoes in my rotation. So you be the judge
