Same here. Some of them seem rather annoyed I'm not interested in getting to know them. I just want them to call the police if they see someone trying to break into my house or hear me getting brutally murdered and that's about it.

^did this 2 weeks ago. i don't "know" too many of my neighbors. But i'm observant enough to know who and who doesn't belong around my complex. So when I saw a sketchy guy wearing a heavy coat, on a day it was 75, and walk up to a door that i know a single girl lives at i kept my eye on him. Sure enough 10 minutes later he kicked it in, i was already dialing 911 and the cops were there to arrest the guy before he even made it back down the stairs.
