I have none of that except for FOB drivers - but I would have to deal with them if I lived in Raleigh just as much as living in MV, simply because the work parking lot is full of them -- no matter where I go home to, I would have to pass through RTP which describes what you are talking about.

As for Police, never had that experience in 8 years living here.

The only place in Morrisville with traffic jams is highway 54/mv-carpenter intersection, which is a state highway and is scheduled for expansion with the upcoming light rail stop construction - but I never drive over there.

So yes, if you chose to live on a .05 acre townhome lot constructed last year in the townhall dr area, then you got what you paid for. Not everyone in MV has that problem.

Out of all the places in NC to pick, they picked Morrisville, a commuter suburb? I would have chosen Hillsborough or Carrboro over anything else.

A young person needs:

-a good paying job
-affordable housing
-activities to do (whether that's nightlife or an outdoor place like mountains)

I used to commute from Raleigh to Durham by car and it was the most depressing year of my life. Now I bike to work in about 20 minutes, am 10 minutes' bike ride to good places to hang out, and have country near enough to do my rural hobbies (horseback riding, guns and rearing goats). All that development by Southpoint is getting on my fucking nerves, though.

I beg to differ. Every part of Airport Blvd is a nightmare during the afternoon rush hour. And let's not forget about the 54 McCrimmons intersection - God what a fucked up section of road. If one semi loaded with gravel (or whatever) pulls out of the facility next to the tracks and blocks traffic from getting thru the green light heaven help you - you'll be sitting there for 10 minutes easy.

If you have to cross the tracks at lunch, in the morning, or quitting time, fucking forget about it. What should be a 5 minute drive turns into 30 minutes every time.

I can vouch for Greenpoint but it has one of the biggest pieces of shit for transportation that has ever been birthed into our realm (of course, I am talking about the G train)

If you have to cross the tracks during rush hour or lunch, then you dont live in morrisville AND work in RTP. If you live in morrisville and work in Raleigh, then you are doing it all wrong. Move your ass to raleigh.

What does that have to do with anything? It's still backed up at rush hour which is the original reason traffic in Morrisville was even brought up.

After moving to Durham, I am very happy with it and can't picture myself moving any time soon unless I can't get a job here after I graduate. No way I would want to live in Morrisville. They have better schools, but the only thing to do is go to Target or Gander Mtn. I know some couples that are planning to GTFO of Morrisville/Cary as soon as their kids graduate.

Extensive greenway systems, wonderful parks (and not just for kids), community centers and local theater. Public athletic clubs. Private swim and raquetball clubs.

Live in Cary. Drive to Durham/Raleigh for nightlife if needed.

I lived in Morrisville before it was popular. I would never live in that dump now though.
