i'm just gonna explain my thought process
if you think people are on welfare out of laziness
then you probably think that black people are lazier than white people
if you don't think that, then there must be other reasons why people are on welfare
if you do think that, then why? is it because they are genetically inferior (you're racist), or is it because of systematic discrimination driving them to lower income levels?
so these people are either racist, inconsistent in their views, or just lack empathy for disadvantaged people

i'll be your huckleberry
let's attack the issue using the thought process you laid out, shall we?

well asians are on food stamps proportionately less than whites, yet are not documented to have had less racially systematic discrimination than whites, so we can rule that out as the sole contributing factor.

since this is a thread about economic issues, i'll suppose we can infer that the groups at hand would be genetically inferior at making money. education has a strong impact on income so to evaluate let's look at education and income by race
while we do see an income gap between africans and their educated peers, this gap is less than the gap we see moving from one degree of education attainment to another. this indicates that education has a greater ability on one's ability to generate income than one's race.
since we have reason to believe education highly impacts income, let's assume those without a high school diploma are likely on food stamps and see what that tells us
we can see that roughly 5% of white's and 19% of africans don't have a high school degree. those without a degree account for 50% of those on food stamps for both groups evaluated(10.1% and 39.7%), making them proportionately similar. i'm going to make a somewhat specious jump and say that both groups have low performing group of high school grads equal to the number of those without any degree. Given the proportionate similarity, I wouldn't say there is evidence to suggest genetic inferiority or propensity to adopt SNAP at rates greater than whites.

based on the data suggesting education lends itself lower incomes, and thus a need for welfare, I couldn't say unadulterated laziness is the sole or primary contributing factor to welfare. whether or not low education is caused by laziness could be evaluated. probably starting with evaluating other root causes such social class. i don't have the time to go that route but i'm sure you can dig in and educate us all.
